One of the largest assembly plants in Russia is going to start its work coming autumn. The Komatsu plant construction has been finished this week.
The first set of ecskavators (about 300 units) will be produced untill the end of the year. The plan for next year when total power will be reached is 3000 of ecskavators and 7000 of loaders. The Japanise investors want to recoup this project in 5 years.

Attraction of investors is one of the main targets of Yaroslavl region government. This summer construction of a Nicomed Pharm. plant is going to begin.
A great air traffic problem, appeared after Icelandic volcano eruption, shows that the international transport system has to be changed. Igor Levitin, the transport minister of Russian Federation, proposed to introduce an unified ticket for all transports in Europe.
While the Europeans think, the Yaroslavl locals do! In May an integrated transport card is going to be introdused. It will replace paper tickets of all kinds of urban transport. By the way, special smart-cards for trolleys and trams already excist. One more step in this direction — combined two-kinds cards. Bus+trolley and trolley+tram are the most popular types. Plastic tickets have the same price as the paper ones. You are only have to overpay for the card itself — 38 rubles. Then just refill it.
Local government is very satisfied with the new tickets. They help to track the number of passengers due to different parts of the day. This information can be used to correct the scheldure of urban transport. But the main point is profit increment, of cource.
Yaroslavl is going to wallow in flowers in its anniversary!!!
This year there are much more participants of the action “Yaroslavl in bloom” than last one. Many people - leaders of different businesses, workers of pedagogical and medical units, clergy representatives - plan to take care about their territories in the beginning of spring. Yaroslavl is one of famous leaders of territories greenery in Russia and it is said that this year it will become as bloomy as it has never been.
“All of us start to understand and value our surrounding,” - said Galina Nikitina, chief of the action ”Yaroslavl in bloom”, head of the urban social movement ”Yaroslavl - 2000”.
The list of objects for Yaroslavl anniversary replenished by one more investment project. In the begining of the summer a huge mall called Tandem is going to come in sight. It will offer a various choice of construction and finishing materials, furniture, sport stuff, household appliances and gardening.
To realize the grandiosity of the project just imagine: its’ overall square is about of 7 football fields! There will be 4 comfortable floors for shops, stores and offices.
One more point, which Tandem is going to have, is its position. It will be quiet easy to reach the mall by new roads constructed, as well as Tandem, due to the anniversary.
It is supposed that the new mall will be visited by about 20000 people per day! Wow! Large mall in the center of the city!
Moskovsky Prospect reconstruction has approached to the peak. The builders have started the most difficult part, that is the road widening under the railway bridge. It is going to be 6 traffic lines there instead of the 4. The work will start in next few days.
There are two backstays on the sides of the bridge. The idea of the roads’ widening is to move this backstays farther to the sides. The project was approved by the Railways.
Unfortunatelly, the traffic will be rather inhibited during the roadwork. By the way, it is said, that public traffic will not have much problems. Due to the work plan, at first the traffic will be limited on the right side, then it will switch the role with the left one.
And as usual, the most troubles will have the local car owners. The railway bridge on Moskovsky Prospect is the place of many traffic jams. After the roadwork beginning the situation will become even worthe. And now lots of motorists are going to use circuit on Frunze Prospect to reach the center of Yaroslavl.
Inventors from Vologda proved — ultraviolet can be used instead of chlorine!
Public utilities of the Necrasovsky district got a new hi-tech setting for water purifying. So the sewage water there is now worked up with ultraviolet and ultrasound. The chlorine has been denied thus the unsafe discharges to Volga river has been reduced to zero. Nearby municipalities take an interest in the purify setting, too.
There was a system of clorination before. So there was a workmen to mix the solute. Now the setting works autonomously and the effect is great.

Unfortunatelly, it is too expensive for local budgets (about $12 700) and the investors still don’t want to inset in the regions’ environmental well-being.
The Demino sky trail becomes more and more popular among European sportsmen. There are more than a thousand members in Sundays start, and there are some German, French, Latvian, Ukrain and Belarusian skiers in the midst of the contestants. And even some Olimpic winners came here, to Demino, to take part in the 50-kilometers marathon.
This marathon is going to become the most numerous in the sport history of the Yaroslavl region. There will be also a lot of entertainment for the audience. The organizers engage for balloon flights, extreme power show and even qiuzzes!
A famous old-timer skier Victor Popov is also going to start. He is a fivefold winner of the Veterans World Skiing Championship. And The Sunday Start is going to be his 61th maraphon. He has more than 50 years skiing experience and he wins new awards every season. It’s like a funny hobby for him to bring new skiing souvenires from all over the world. However, he is not only a sportsman, but he also developes and promotes skiing in the region. For more than 12 yers Victor is the Head of the Yaroslavl Skiing Fedaration. This March Victor celebrates his 64th birthday. And he is still on trail every day. Think about it.
Yaroslavl got its own Youth Palace. The old club called Gigant became a home for the young and creative. The decision to transfer the building from Philarmonic to Youth Department control was taken on the outumn of the 2009. Since that time the new team started to create a special creative space. Any help is invited.
Small but cheerful team discusses projects which can surprise everybody of age from 14 to 30. First step was made by dance collectives. For all tastes - street, club, oriental, ballroom dancing. There are also tectonics and kappoeira sections for advanced guys. And that is not all.
We opened theater studio of art fencing. It is going to be a dance laboratory. Also we will use acoustic rock and animation to entertain people soon

When it gets warmer, an action called “Young and Green” will be released. The “Young and Green” will tidy up territory around the building, plant trees, make flowerbeds. And closer to summer a show project is going to start. Short performances will be showed on the street. However, resourses of the Palace are limited for the present. Inspite of that renovation is done, there are nothing but empty walls and new chairs there. By the way, the ceilings were repaired as well as old beautiful lusters. But scene was made out of avaliable material.
There are not much money, but no problems with ideas. The Youth Palace is open for any experiment. A short time ago there was organized a contest of creative projects. And this year the most interested of them will be realized on the base of the old club called Gigant.
There were almost 89 minutes of the game and only 3 dropped pucks last Sunday. In a hard and long game the “Lokomotiv” hockey team won a pass to the next stage of the play-off. “Atlant” (a team from Podmoscovye) went on holiday. The game was equal and principled — as the fans wanted to see.
On the eve of Sunday the score in Head-to-Head games was 2:1 in favor of “Loko”. The Sunday game was all-in-all for both teams. By the way, there were lots of risky moments by each team — lots of troubles for the goalkeepers! However, the score was 0:0 since the 48th minit. The first puck was dropped by guests, but Loko’s squared the score immediately (Vashichek with the pass of Zednik).
There were 2 additionals periods to spot the winner. There are no bullits on this stage of the play-off, so the winner is who score first. The point was made at the tenth minute of the second overtime by Alexey Mikhnov (assistents — Vashichek and Irgl). The season runs on for “Lokomotiv”. The next contender for “Loko” is going to be “Spartak” (Moscow). The first game will be in Yaroslavl. Dates of the show is on March 19th and 20th.
The public traffic throught the new part of the Kotorosl Bridge was reopened. On Wednesday public transport started to use the rebuild part of the viaduct.
It was only a half of the task. On Wednesday morning the the public traffic started to flow through the new part of the bridge across the river Kotorosl. We would remind you that to not to break the connection between the southern and the northern parts of the city, it was decided to divide the reconstruction into two steps. And while the one half was being rebuilt, the another one has been used. And now they switch the roles.
One of the reconstruction program discussed was to close all of the traffic for a while. Fortunately, local authorities denied this plan. However, the new part of the bridge is not renewed completely yet. There is no asphalt there and so on. But the authorities claim that it is safe.
The really good news is that that two-way traffic restarted on the bridge. Instead of reverse traffic, what we have had for several months.
There are also some marked shifts in the second bridge construction. Both bridges are supposed to be ready to The Yaroslavl thousand anniversary.
