Inventors from Vologda proved — ultraviolet can be used instead of chlorine!
Public utilities of the Necrasovsky district got a new hi-tech setting for water purifying. So the sewage water there is now worked up with ultraviolet and ultrasound. The chlorine has been denied thus the unsafe discharges to Volga river has been reduced to zero. Nearby municipalities take an interest in the purify setting, too.
There was a system of clorination before. So there was a workmen to mix the solute. Now the setting works autonomously and the effect is great.— Anatoly Arbuznikov, the sewer area headmen of the “Vodokanal”.
Unfortunatelly, it is too expensive for local budgets (about $12 700) and the investors still don’t want to inset in the regions’ environmental well-being.
